So far, Israel has not yet commented on the assassination of Haniyeh, but it is widely believed to be behind the attack. The armed wing of Hamas has already issued a statement, vowing that the killing of Haniyeh will have “major repercussions.”

All indications are that this Israeli government has set itself the goal of a comprehensive war…I suspect that they were sufficiently aware of the October 7 Hamas attack plan to be able to dovetail it into their wider agenda….still the outcome in war is always uncertain and it is hard to see how these actions even after the overt violence has subsided, will lead to stability without further injustice and oppression.
