Jonathan Majors And Meagan Good Reveal Engagement At Ebony Power 100 Gala

The couple began their relationship in May 2023. Good publicly supported Majors during his legal battles, which included charges and a trial for assaulting Jabbari in November 2023. Throughout the three-week trial, the Shazam! actress was a near-constant presence in the courtroom. In December, Majors was convicted of one count of third-degree reckless assault and harassment, and in April of this year, he was sentenced to a 52-week in-person domestic violence intervention program.

Following critically acclaimed performances in Da 5 Bloods (2020), The Harder They Fall (2021), and Devotion (2022), Majors was seen as an emerging star in Hollywood and was poised to play a significant role in phase six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the main antagonist, Kang the Conqueror, in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, following his conviction, Disney terminated Majors and revamped phase six.

The bodybuilding drama Magazine Dreams from Searchlight, which garnered rave reviews and considerable awards buzz at its Sundance premiere in 2023, was also put on hold due to the actor’s legal issues. The film was later acquired by Briarcliff for distribution and may still be released in theaters next year. In June, Majors secured his first major role post-conviction, joining the cast of the supernatural revenge thriller Merciless, directed by Martin Villeneuve.

Good recently appeared in Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black and has also featured in films such as Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Think Like a Man, and Think Like a Man Too. Currently, she stars in the Prime Video comedy series Harlem. Good was previously married to entertainment executive and motivational speaker DeVon Franklin from 2012 until their divorce in 2022.
