  1. So excited pearls are back! I love them! I love the simplicity, the elegance, the and cool, smooth texture against my skin. Happy happy!

  2. Hi MarieAnne I agree that bermudas are not so flattering for most women, I just found you and think you are amazing! Thank you for your inspiring work <3

  3. I’m a teacher assistant in a middle school library. I try to look stylish. But the dress code is super casual iejeans

  4. I agree with most of what you say but as a bigger girl I don’t like this rigid ideas about proportions, I wear mini bags all the time! Same with jewellry, I’ve learned that delicate pieces look better on me as opposed to all the chunky stuff I’ve been conditioned to wear x

  5. I am surprised that polka dots are acceptable for mature woman. I feel silly wearing them however if you say they freshen up a simple look I believe you as you’ve got fabulous style.

  6. Bardot style is a bit of an issue when you have a larger bust! I’m a natural E/F cup so going without a bra in order to show my shoulders is going to be tricky!

  7. My workplace is very, very casual so a pearl necklace would look very out of place. Also somewhat aging for a high-tech environment. However, pearl earrings are nice always, so I'm glad to hear they are 'officially in. Thank you for your well edited video.

  8. A large accent belt buckle is a nice fashion statement but that dinner plate sized object paired with the the blue suit was ridiculous. I would have trouble suppressing my laughter if I witnessed such a thing.

  9. Small and medium polka dots are charming and feminine. Large polka dots are clownish and flattering on no one. In the same vein that narrow and medium stripes are fresh and flattering, but large stripes never benefit the wearer.

  10. I do not follow trends. I do try to dress classic conservatively that complements me. Being trendy I’d too costly.

  11. I love you your videos and your advice. Do you always bring forth a classic style which is important for us older ladies. Keep up the good work.

  12. I don’t like: gathered waistbands with elastic or drawstring. Loathe the thick soled massive leisure shoes. Not keen on cut off trousers or ripped jeans. I like natural materials, flat fronted trousers. Elasticsted waistbands that are flat, not gathered. Barefoot shoes. Tailored trousers with straight or wide legs and tailored jackets. Slim fitting T shirts, jumpers and cardigans.

  13. Imagine showing off a waistline that would well do being concealed. Such ideas as trends haunt ladies and their body shapes. Here’s no to trend and yes to what looks stylish on you. This will also save landfill and help slow fashion

  14. I think people should wear what they like, what suits them in their lifestyle and budget. It depends on the climate you live in, the job you do, your unique tastes and creativity. Let’s face it, some people prioritize their appearance and their clothing. For others, it’s just not the most important thing. I have friends who spend a lot of their free time shopping in boutiques or online….others who’d rather spend that time doing something else. To each their own. Trends are just dictates from the manufacturers and do not often suit most people and are catastrophic for the environment !

  15. I wear middle sized pearl earhangers since decades now. They just fit to any look and I still love them. No other jewelry except a classic wrist watch. These are already my signature pieces. So I am now considering selling all my other jewelry pieces, because I never wear them. It is also part of just simplifying my life. It is enough to do for me keeping my wardrobe on point and actual.
Thanks for your great and inspiring videos, Marie Anne!

  16. I’m 5”…. As a rule, I prefer tailored clothing. Oversized clothing just weighs me down. This is why I will not be wearing Bermudas. I do like a walking shirt that is a few inches above the knee. Many thanks for all your fashion advice, Marie-Anne. I’m trying to make “elevate” my new mantra❣

  17. I am Bermudian. In my opinion, the only bodies that look good wearing "Bermudas" are…….male! For women, one must be tall and very slim to carry the look off.

  18. Love the tailored looks and I am happy with Bermuda shorts, especially with a natural waistline. Belted everything, pearls, and silver shoes harken back to the 80s and I love that, but hate the 80s oversized look. It was bad style then, and it still is.

  19. Love, love, love bermudas. More women can wear them than shorts.
You can never overdo pearls. They are the forever jewelry.
I hope you are right about the tops cut down to the navel going out. Most men tell me that it is sexier when something is left to the imagination.
I'd love to see the false eyelashes that look like whisk brooms go away. False eyelashes, as well as makeup should enhance your look, not scream fake fake fake.

  20. Red tops, belts (both thin and wide-ish) with buckles smaller than my wide Gucci belt, and experimenting more with silhouettes and shoe pairings. Love these videos. Often I buy the stylish product but need to work at the right way to fit it into an overall look. Your videos help!

  21. Pink is one of my least favorite colors, so I am happy to see the back of it and welcome in the good reds, and omg yes pearls! By the way, I have been auditing, decluttering and updating my closet, and listening to your channel's backlog for education and inspiration for a few days now, and I am incredibly grateful to all the free knowledge and great, simple style advice you share!
